Koyman Galleries is Ottawa’s largest commercial art gallery. I have been working with them over the years helping them with their website to creating marketing materials for exhibitions and events.

As a design student in Ottawa I often wandered into their gallery on Sussex to see some fresh paint and see what’s what. I enjoyed the resident artists and the atmosphere in the gallery. To then find myself in a position to design their website many years later was pretty neat.

The goal for this project was to put the artwork up front, uncropped, and give it space to be viewed and appreciated. We really needed to tighten-up the typography to make it look like a professional operation and it needed that aesthetic you get from walking into a room with paintings meticulously arranged on a white wall.
